The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens offers several fun and engaging opportunities to learn about the animals and their ecosystems. Every visit, we aim to aim to inspire guests to care for the natural world and understand the importance of diverse and sustainable ecosystems.

Join us at the Hoover Education Center each week for an hour of guided exploration and fun experiential activities, designed for toddlers and their accompanying adults.
Me & You at the Zoo
Designed for your budding naturalists, ages 5-13, Winter ZooCamp fosters an appreciation for the natural world and wildlife through special activities, arts and crafts, up-close animal encounters, and more.
In this one-day Winter Mini Camp, your junior adventurer will get creative as they learn about wildlife and their natural surroundings through hands-on activities, crafting, special animal encounters, and more. These STEAM based activities are designed for grades K through 6.
Winter Mini Camp
The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is home to over 50 gardens! This family program invites your family to explore the wonderful world of gardens and plant memories together at The Living Desert. The event includes an up-close animal experience, planting native seeds, a craft, tram tour, and admission to the zoo afterwards.
Zoo Families: Planting Memories
In this three-day camp, grades K-6 will be enthralled by the wonders of wildlife as they engage in special activities, arts and crafts, up-close animal encounters, and more!
