Recognized in the Top 5 Best Zoo Lights by USA Today, WildLights is a magical winter wonderland, complete with dazzling twinkling lights, light displays, and winter fun. It is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and make lasting memories with friends and family.
WildLights’ pathways will take guests on an illuminated journey around the Zoo with endless awe-inspiring sights and festive photo ops. Guests can take a spin on the carousel, make and enjoy s’mores, get a souvenir photo with Santa, and much more. In true WildLights tradition, the festive G-scale model trains, with more than 3,300 feet of track, will be decked out for the holidays.

If you are purchasing Member Tickets, be sure to bring a valid photo ID when you arrive at the event. (The name on the ID must match the name on the membership itself.)

Can I use my tickets on any night?
No. WildLights tickets are valid only on the specific date and time for which you purchased your tickets.
Why are there timed entry tickets?
Timed-entry tickets help us regulate how many people are in the Zoo at any given time. Once inside the event, guests may stay until the event ends at 9:00pm.
I purchased my tickets online, but haven’t received the tickets or confirmation?
Once you complete your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email from "eGalaxy Store" <email@example.com>, and your ticket order will be attached as a PDF.

Does The Living Desert offer members special pricing or entry days?
Member admission to WildLights is discounted to $14 per person and we are pleased to offer an exclusive Member Preview Night on Tuesday, November 22nd.
Are WildLights tours available?
WildLights is a self-guided experience. Group and private tours are not available during this event.
Will there be tickets available day-of?
You are strongly encouraged to purchase your WildLights tickets in advance as this event can sell out quickly.
What is the refund policy?
WildLights tickets are non-refundable. If you pre-purchased tickets, but are unable to attend, consider giving them as gifts to friends or family. WildLights is a rain or shine event.
What To Know Before you Go
Can I enter the Zoo before the event starts?
WildLights is a separate ticketed event that provides entry to the Zoo when the event begins.
Nightly at 5:00pm, the Zoo will be cleared of all daytime guests, including members and guests with pre-purchased WildLights tickets. Beginning at 6:00pm, WildLights guests will be allowed to enter at their designated entry time (selected during their ticket purchase).
Where should I park?
You’re encouraged to arrive with ample time to accommodate for traffic and parking. Parking is located within the main Zoo lot, with overflow on Portola Avenue, Haystack Avenue, and Buckboard Avenue.
Please be courteous when parking on neighborhood streets; do not block driveways, park in red/No Parking zones, or block in other cars. Please be mindful of barricades and signage that is put into place to create a smooth parking experience for our guests. Also, please be expeditious when dropping off friends and family near the front gate so as not to impede the flow of traffic.
The Living Desert’s parking can fill up quickly. You can use your favorite rideshare app such as Lyft or Uber to save time and avoid parking inconveniences.
What can I do at the event?
WildLights will feature several fun and festive nightly activities including:
• Exploring the Zoo’s lighted pathways and light displays, including the Tunnel of Lights and Synchronized Light Zones
• Letters to Santa and photos with Santa
• Plentiful photo opportunities
• Holiday carousel
• Festive fare will also be available for purchase, including hot chocolate and s’mores stations, beer, wine, and sprits, and snacks
Can I meet Santa?
Guests of all ages will be able to pose with Santa for photos through December 24th. Santa will depart for the North Pole on Christmas Day, so he will not be at WildLights on December 26-30.
Are gift shops and concessions open?
Yes, the gift shop and concessions will be open, as well as a selection of specialty eateries, including the S’mores Station and Hot Chocolate Bar.
Can you see animals during WildLights?
Although the light displays are the main feature of the event, some animals may be visible.
Accessibility at WildLights
Are strollers and wheelchairs available to rent?
Yes, The Living Desert rents strollers, wheelchairs, and ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicles). Rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Is the route wheelchair accessible?
The zoo offers wide, paved pathways throughout the park, making exploring accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.
Please keep in mind that there may be heavy crowds during the event.
What if someone in my party has sensory processing needs?
We strive to provide a safe and friendly environment that visitors of all ages and abilities can enjoy.
