PALM DESERT/INDIAN WELLS, CA – April 18, 2023 – There are less than two weeks left of Glow in the Park – The Living Desert’s wildly popular illuminated lantern event. Don’t miss out on this spectacular experience, running nightly through April 30 from 6:30pm-10:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.LivingDesert.org/Glow. Advance reservations are recommended, as there is limited capacity.

“The Living Desert’s all-new line up of hand-crafted lantern displays are incredible during the day, but truly come to life when the sun goes down,” said Allen Monroe, President/CEO of The Living Desert. “Glow in the Park returns better than ever this year with dazzling, illuminated pathways, and eye-catching photo opportunities for the entire family.”

The immersive, whimsical lanterns throughout the park represent wildlife from around the globe and even under the sea. In addition to the lit pathways, guests can still enjoy many of the animals in their breathtaking habitats – including giraffe, rhino, and zebra. Make sure to sample the specialty food and beverage options, including Asian-inspired dishes, American-style family favorites, and refreshing themed cocktails.

Glow in the Park made its 2023 debut on March 17, and it’s been a wonderfully wild success so far! Here’s what people are saying on social media:

Absolutely PHENOMENAL. This was our third light show at the Zoo and, by far, was the most amazing."

"Hard to believe, but even better than last year... It's a must-see event."

"Such an awesome event!!!! It was off the chart this year!!!! No kids and still had the time of my life!!! Thank you!!!"

This nightly event runs now through April 30 from 6:30pm–10:00pm, with last admission at 9:00pm. Tickets are on sale now at LivingDesert.org/Glow. Advance reservations are required as space is limited; tickets are purchased for a select date and time. Newly available this year is a combo ticket – guests can purchase an any-day general admission zoo ticket and a Glow in the Park ticket for a discounted rate.

Glow in the Park is presented by Acrisure Arena, home of the Coachella Valley Firebirds, and sponsored by the city of Palm Desert. Produced in partnership with Tianyu Arts and Culture, Inc., Glow in the Park is a luminous night-time event, featuring intricate, immersive, and truly amazing animal and nature-scape lantern creations.
